Will's doing great

He gets a little fussy in the evening, but overall is having a ton of fun right now, especially since it's been nice. I try and take him to the park everyday. We even went yesterday after work. Then Neil had a 48th congressional meeting to go to right behind our place at the senior center so we walked over there with Will. He had fun running around and saying hi to people. Once the meeting started and the politicos were getting ready to speak we headed home.

He chased ducks and dogs, or 'gucks" and "goggies" along the way. If I let him he would spend all day outside. I really wish we had a house with a back yard for him to play in. It can get tiring putting him in the car and taking him to the park.

Eeeeeee!

Will is so in love with his cousin Ian. He hasn't seen him since February, except in pictures. We have to look at pictures of him on my laptop almost every day and when we do he just screams "eeeee"! It's really cute. One night though he wanted to see pictures and I didn't know that was what he wanted. So he had a major fit that lasted for about 10 minutes. We finally realized what he wanted and when we showed him pictures he would laugh at each one and say "eeeee" in this really cute voice. I love that he loves his cousin so much. I wish they didn't live three hours away.

Will is really starting to communicate with us. The other night I read him his night time story. Normally he'll want to read a story a couple of times. This time we read Good Night Moon once then he closed the book. I thought he was going to reach for another book but instead he looked at me, said "night night" and put his thumb in his mouth. A clear sign he was ready for bed. So I asked him if he wanted to turn the light off and he said yes!

It's so nice that he can tell us what he wants now. He can distguinsh between milk and water so we always know which he wants. And he loves to say apple, although he also loves to say cracker (which also means cookie). I'm constantly having to divert his attention when he says "cracker!". If I can divert his attention elsewhere then he'll usually drop it, otherwise he'll lay on the floor and throw a fit until he gets a cookie. So much fun!
