Boom!

Well, this weekend I lowered the side of Wills' crib. I wanted him to get use to it being lowered for when he finally moves into a toddler bed. I thought he might crawl out but I was ok with that. Well, he didn't crawl, he fell! In the morning when he got up I heard this loud "thud!" then crying. I ran in there and he was lying flat on his back. Oh well, looks like he's not ready for that!

This weekend I took him to the Science Center. We went into the live butterfly exhibit. He really liked seeing them fly around and he barked at them (that's what he normally does to birds). He barked at the dinosaurs too. You can't say he doesn't have a personality!

Will loves "biby"

Biby is his word for Vicki, his DCP. He just loves her and gonig there and seeing his friends. Today when I dropped him off I opened the gate and he walked through it. Vicki was waiting for him with her arms wide open and he ran to her and gave her a big hug. then he turned and closed the door on me! I guess it could upset me, but it makes me feel good that he does like it there so much. He loves Vicki and all of his friends there. Plus, when I pick him up in the evening he can't get to me fast enough because he's so excited. I'm glad it's only 3 days a week though so I'm still with him more than anyone.

No More mullet!

I finally broke down and cut Will's hair yesterday. He's had it cut once before, but I didn't do it. As long as I had Nemo on he was ok with me cutting it. It actually looks pretty cute.

We also went to two parks yesterday. At the one by Bell Square there were ducks in the water and he had so much fun watching them and quacking at them. We also went to the mall and played in the Lego store and played on the ship. He got chased around by these three little girls. It was pretty cute.

Sometimes I miss my baby

I was looking at old videos of Will tonight and i was both amazed at how much he's grown and sad and nostalgic for that little baby. I can't believe how tiny he was. What's sad, is without those videos, I don't think I'd remember. I try and remember what he was like, but it's so hard but I just look at him now and see how is now. It's hard to imagine a time when he couldn't walk or give me hugs or say cute little words. I love this time now, but seeing those videos made me miss that little baby too. I guess maybe that means it's time for another!

Mo?!

Dang Nemo. I can't even get near the TV without Will freaking out asking for Mo. If I don't turn it on he will throw himself on the ground and throw a major fit. Last night he got a timeout because of it and spent some time in his crib. He finally calmed down. I didn't cave in and let him watch it. I've actually been pretty good about not caving in, but it's been hard. I try to distract him with another activity and if that doesn't work and he still throws a fit, especiallly when he starts hitting his head on something, I put him in his crib. He will calm down after a bit then I take him out and we cuddle. He's so stubborn though. He gets it from his dad. So I'm living with two stubborn men. Wonderful!

Book worm in training

Will is starting to realize that he doesn't need his mommy and daddy to read to him anymore. I was sitting on the floor and he went and grabbed a book out of the book shelf. I was waiting for him to come sit on my lap so I could read it to him. He walked right past me, climbed up on the couch, sat where I usually sit and started flipping through each page of the book! Neil and I looked at him and started laughing and he just looked up with this look on his face as if to say, "Do you need something? I'm busy reading." I'm glad he likes books so much. I even used the excuse that we could read Goodnight moon as the way to get him out of the bath last night. We'll see how long that trick works.

Here is one of my favorite Will pics. He was a little over 5 months old.
