last night was tough. For the last week or so Will has been getting up after we put him to bed and sometimes it last for up to an hour. We try everything, putting him back in without saying a word, singing to him, closing the door so he can't get out (which freaks him out), you name it. He gets up, comes to our room and wants to play or just wants us to cuddle him to sleep. It's so frustrating because he's never been like this. He always has fallen asleep well on his own.
Last night I put him down at 8:45 and it took until 9:30 to get him to fall asleep. Then he woke up at 1am crying. It took until 4am to finally get him to sleep. I put him back in his room, DH did it several times, it was awful. Every 5-10 minutes he would get up and walk into our room. Finally a little before 4am I told myself if he got up again I was changing the toddler bed back to a crib right then and there and that's what I did when he got up again. I put him in and didn't hear a peep out of him again. He wasn't happy when he woke up this morning in his crib though. But he's lost his privlege of being in the big boy bed for now. My sanity cannot take another night like last night!

No Craisins for you!
I picked Will up last night from daycare and Vicki told me that he had a huge poop shortly after he got there. When she changed his diaper his poor butt was bright red. He pooped again later in the day and this time the diaper riash was so bad that he had little blisters and it was bleeding! Poor little guy. I think the acidity of the craisins he had the day before did him in.
At home I kept gooping him up with Desitin. He had a watery poop later that really hurt him. Thankfully he was fine this morning. It just broke my heart to see him in so much pain. After we calmed him down from it hurting when he pooped though he did great all night and was a real sweetheart. DH went to the gym and Will and I played with playdough. When it was finally time for bed I told him so and instead of getting mad and throwing a fit he walked over and started playing with his choo-choos. Then I said agian it was time for bed. He got up and said "bok" and grabbed his blocks with a little smirk. It was like he was trying to distract me into playing with him so he wouldn't have to go to bed. Hey, it's better than the temper tantrums he normally throws!

The floor isn't so bad...
Last night I went to check on Will before I went to bed and he wasn't in bed. He was on the floor! I have no idea how he got there. If he were to fall out of bed he would have started to cry. So I'm guessing he decided to get up and play and then go too tired and fell asleep. He gets in his bed all the time though so not sure why he wouldnt' have gotten back in it.
Today we got a bird feeder and I told Will we'd be going home to put the bird feeder up. He got excited and then when we got home he watched me as I put the bird food in it. The whole time he said "bird feed", or "bird eat". Then he got really mad that no birds came! It was 7:30 pm so I'm sure they were off for the night. I kept telling him they were sleeping, but he came inside and looked out at the bird feeder and just kept saying "bird eat". He wouldn't let it go. Poor guy, the birds never did come. Hopefully tomorrow morning! I told him maybe when he ate his toast that they would come. We shall see!
