This weekend we went to my parents house so we could paint the kitchen cabinet doors. Will had so much fun playing outside and with all of grandma's toys. We decided that he would stay there for the week so that we could go home and work on the base of the cabinets. I knew he'd have fun but I was dreading leaving him. It just made me sad at the thought of not having him with us. And I was worried that he would get upset at us leaving him. Boy was I wrong!
A little before we left I asked him for a hug. He gave me a big hug and said "you're my best girl". Awww! Seriously, as if I wasn't weepy enough already he has to go and say that to me?! When we finally did leave we told him that we were taking the cabinet doors home and that grandma would bring him home later. He gave us a hug and said "bye" and went back to playing. So he handled it really well. I on the other hand was crying by the time I hit the door.

Snake poop!!
So a couple of weeks ago we told Will that if he pooped in the potty it might look like a snake, like daddy's. LOL! So the other night Rhonda was over and said she was going poop. She wasn't really, she was just trying to get a Will break. He heard that and said "I want to go!". I took him upstairs and he sat on the toilet with a book. As he was looking through it I all of a sudden heard him poop! He did it twice. I was so excited. He got off the toilet and sure enough it looked like a snake. He was clapping and thought it was pretty cool. His dad got home right after that so we made him come upstairs so he could see. He even did it again yesterday, and once again it was his idea! Now I just have to get him to go pee and poop at the same time.

Great weekend!
We had a lot of fun this weekend.
On Saturday we met up with Ryan, Shannon and Nikki and went down to the Puyallup spring fair. Will went on two rides. At first he was reluctant, but once he was on he didn't want to get off. He threw a major fit when the rides ended! He had his first taste of cotton candy and saw a fire truck and lots of animals. He also wanted this big 3 foot inflatable hammer so we got one for him. Big mistake. He was on daddy's shoulders and started hitting people on the head as we walked by them! Luckily they were good humored about it. I have pictures below

On Sunday we went to church and for the first time Wlll sat in Sunday school by himself! It was my day to be with him, but I could just tell I was a distraction. So I said I had to go to the bathroom and snuck into bible study with daddy. He did great! Then during the service Neil took him down to the nursery and since his buddies Michael and Cameron were there he played andn daddy left. So we actually both sat through the sermon! Yay us!
on Monday (still the weekend for me since I don't work!) I took him to the park twice. It was such a nice day. He made friends both times and didn't want to leave. He always latches on to someone and follows them around and has a really good time. He's so social, which is funny becuase I don't think either Neil or I are.

No more diaper day update
Yeah, didn't go so great. Actually, it started out ok. He was wearning underwear and went pee on the potty twice. He did have a couple of accidents but it was no big deal. But we had a surprise visit from Sean and Amy and he got so busy playing with Ian that there was no way I was getting him back on the potty. Even Ian who is fully potty trained had an accident. Oh well, we'll try again!

No more diaper day!
I've been telling Will all week that Friday is No More Diaper day! I'll ask him what Friday is and he says "no more diaper day!". He knows that he will be wearing big boy underwear that day and we are going to give it a go and try the potty a lot more. I just felt like we hit a brick wall. He would go on the potty right before bath but not at any other time so I was looking to jumpstart things a bit. We'll see how it goes. I shall report next week!

WOW...
Appt. update
Had an appointment today and all went well. Heard the h/b and Dr. Stork said that according to my last u/s my due date was a week later, but there is a 7 day window of give or take so she was leaving it at August 5th.
I also gained 6 lbs!! Yikes. It's still only 8 lbs total but I didn't want to gain that much in one week. I guess I'll have to stop eating so much candy!

Maybe I was wrong...
So i kept thinking that Gabrielle was more mellow that Will because I didn't feel her move around much. I still dont' feel her a lot each day, but when she does move she goes kind of crazy! I've been feeling her on the outside since about 18 weeks (much earlier than with Will) and I can already see my belly moving. She kicks my bladder all the time and I really dont' remember Will doingi that.
Will still thinks she's in his belly. The other day he woke up from his nap and came downstairs and sat on my lap. He said, Baby Gabrielle sleeping in my belly. Shhh, don't wake her up. It was pretty dang cute.

Naptime!
Only for mommy instead of Will. :) Yesterday he was playing in his room right before naptime. I laid down on his bed and pretended to sleep and he looked over at me and said "naptime mommy". He turned the light off and then said "good night, don't let the bed bugs bite!". Then he said "go to sleep, no waking up". I was laughing. The little munchkin listens a little too well I think. He was repeating everything I say back to me!
He then closes the door and leaves the room and I'm not sure what he's doing but I hear him walking around. The entire time he's saying "don't wake up mommy!". About two minutes go by and I say "Will what are you doing?". He replies "checking my e-mail". He was sitting at our computer pretending to check his e-mail! Too funny.
Oh, and we decided on a name.

It's a...
GIRL!!!
I'm still so surprised. I thoght for sure it would be a boy. She didn't move around nearly as much as Will did during his u/s and she wouldn't uncross her legs. The tech couldn't really tell and told us she thought it was a girl but only because she didn't really see any boy parts. I was upset because what am I suppose to do with that information? Buy a bunch of pink only to have the baby be a boy? She left to show the radiologist the images and when she came back she said the radiologist wanted to have one more image taken And when she did that the baby opened her legs and we could clearly see no penis! I'm really excited. I wanted a girl so badly, I just didn't want to admit it.
Here she is sucking her thumb!

movement
That last couple of days I've finally been feeling the baby move more. I actually felt the baby pretty early, around 14 weeks, but then there'd be at least a weeks time when I wouldn't feel anything. By 19 weeks I thought for sure I'd be feeling more and just in the last two days it's started. I just felt him/her kick as I'm sitting here at my desk. The baby must like the girl scout cookie I just ate!

We go in on Thursday at 8:30am to find out if we're on the blue or pink team.
Here is my guess: Pink! We shall see!

Baby update!
I had an app.t yesterday and heard the heartbeat and all is good! I'm only up to 146.5 pounds, so 2.5 total that I've gained. I've been sick for the last few days though so I think I lost a couple of pounds. Man, being sick with a toddler is not fun at all! I can't imagine if I get sick when both of them are here.
At about 10pm last night I had a snack and right after that I felt the baby move a lot! I had my hand on my belly and could even feel the little kids with my hand. The baby must have really liked those fig newtons! Only one more week until we find out if we have a boy or a girl in there!

Mr. Independent
This morning I was getting ready and was drying my hair. Will was in our room watching TV and came into the bathroom and said he wanted breakfast. I told him to wait two minutes while I finished getting ready. He didn't like that and said "I go downstairs". normally when he does that he'll either play or go sit at the table and just wait for me to come down.
Well this morning I go down there and he has the chair out by the microwave and is in the freezer looking for waffles! I got a plate for him and was going to help him get breakfast but he refused. He got the waffle out all by himself, put it on the plate, put the waffels back in the freezer, got up on the chair, put the waffle in the microwave and even pushed the correct buttons to get it started. The only thing he could do was get the peanut butter down. How on earth did my little baby turn into a big boy who is now making his own breakfast?!

You're making me crazy!
This last weekend Will and Neil were playing with all of his cars on the stairs. They were driving them around and "cruising" just like they do in the Cars movie. At one point Neil pushed one of the cars too fast and Will yelled "dad, driving too fast, you're making me crazy!!". I guess we tell him one too many times that he's driving us crazy, huh?
